To fund his dream of opening a restaurant, brave bounty hunter Beck is persuaded to bring back his boss's adventurous son, Travis, from the dense Amazon jungle. In the town of El Dorado, he faces trouble as the local tyrant, Cornelius Hatcher, seeks Travis too, as he knows the location of a valuable golden artifact. With Mariana, a clever barmaid with her own motives, and Hatcher’s armed henchmen pursuing them, Beck and Travis must escape and find the statuette.
Will they survive the jungle? Beck, a debt collector and aspiring chef, hopes to raise money for his restaurant. Mobster Billy Walker offers him $250,000 to bring back his son Travis, who is deep in the Amazon with debts. Travis is held by Cornelius Hatcher, the ruthless owner of a gold mine where he exploits local workers. Hatcher refuses a ransom because he knows Travis is searching for a legendary golden idol, the 'Gato del Diablo.' Beck rescues Travis, but he is reluctant to return to LA, leading to a chaotic escape.
The situation worsens as Mariana, the barmaid who Travis thinks loves him, is actually a rebel leader wanting the gold. Hatcher pursues them aggressively. To pay off mobster Billy Walker, Beck, once a restaurateur, must go to Brazil to retrieve Travis, who is on a quest for the Gato del Diablo idol. This idol is sought after both by locals and Hatcher, who mistreats them for profit, and Hatcher won't let Beck leave with Travis easily.
